Scratching Our Heads at the Deadline

This week we discuss the Royals’ Trade Deadline, or rather, lack of trades that happened. We like what we got from the trades we made, but it seemed like they left some to be desired. Lane Thomas, Bailey Falter, and Kris Bubic being the only subtractions means there’s a few impending free agents they didn’t take advantage of. JJ Picollo makes a couple claims as well that have us shaking our heads. 75% of the roster "drew inquiries or interest from other clubs".They were unwilling to move Seth Lugo and Michael Wacha to compete next year…Which we understand Wacha, but Lugo? Jackson plays devils’s advocate to see what could happen due to them keeping both arms. Overall, just an underwhelming deadline for a handful of reasons. Then we of course, end it with America's favorite segment: Drop the Ball!
