SERMON - Do Not Stand Far Off: Learning to Fall Before God

This sermon contrasts two responses sinners have when confronted by a holy, terrifying God: a humble, repentant submission that falls at His feet and receives forgiveness and new purpose, and the wrong response of standing far off and demanding distance from God's judgment. Using examples from Exodus 20, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Peter, and Revelation, the preacher urges listeners to embrace their frailty, receive Christ’s righteousness, and accept suffering as the vocation of serving others, trusting God to lift them up or resurrect them and send them out to serve others.
