Part 2 I had everything a young man could want… until one drink flipped my entire life upside down. Before addiction took over my life, I was a successful young man in the music business, and by 22 I was managing a world champion fighter. But around that same age, I crossed an invisible line into alcoholism—and everything changed. Within months, I went from drinking alcoholically to trying cocaine, eventually shooting cocaine, smoking crack, and drinking nonstop. In 1989, I was diagnosed with HIV—initially misdiagnosed as AIDS. By 1990, I was living in and out of the subways of New York City, completely consumed by addiction. I tried for years to get sober—12 rehabs, 30+ detoxes, countless 12‑step meetings. Nothing worked. Then on October 9, 2001, God did for me what I could never do for myself. I had a sudden, immediate spiritual experience—and I have never taken another drink since. For the last 23 years, my life has been built on recovery, discipline, and faith. My story is proof that no one is too far gone and that God can restore what addiction tried to destroy.

I survived trafficking, heroin addiction, prison, and loss that should have destroyed me — but somehow, I’m still here. My name is Alexandra Hyden, and my life is proof that God can pull someone out of the darkest places imaginable. I’ve lived through addiction, human trafficking, incarceration, grief, and years of separation from my children. I’ve run barefoot for my life. I’ve buried people I loved while locked behind bars. I’ve carried trauma that nearly swallowed me whole. But I’ve also witnessed miracles. After seven years in prison and almost fourteen years fighting to rebuild my life, I’m now nearly eight years sober, a college graduate, a homeowner, and a mother restored to her daughters. God didn’t just save my life — He rebuilt it. Today, I share my story to reach anyone who feels too far gone, too broken, or too ashamed to believe change is possible. If you’re searching for hope, healing, redemption, or proof that God still rescues people… you’ll find it here.
What happens when God steps into a life shattered by 25 years of meth addiction? In this powerful episode of Faith In Your Recovery, Thomas Anderson shares the raw, emotional journey from decades of addiction to a moment of divine intervention that changed everything. His story is one of destruction, surrender, and the unmistakable power of God to rebuild what addiction tried to erase. Thomas is joined by Marlana, a woman whose faith, guidance, and presence played a vital role in his recovery. Together, they open up about the spiritual principles, community support, and God‑centered practices that helped Thomas break free from a life he once believed would never change. Today, Thomas is an author of two books and a passionate voice for hope, redemption, and second chances. His message is clear: No one is too far gone. God still rescues, restores, and redeems. #FaithInYourRecovery #AddictionRecovery #ChristianTestimony #RedemptionStory #RecoveryPodcast
After 45 years addicted, God stepped in and saved my life. Tony Gibson spent nearly five decades trapped in addiction—starting at just 12 years old. Alcohol led to weed, then meth, and eventually a life marked by prison time, guilt, and running from God. After losing his father and losing himself, Tony believed he was beyond saving. Everything changed the day he was arrested after dropping meth in a gas station. Tony says that moment was God stepping in to rescue him. While in jail, Tony attended: A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope (ABLBH) Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) There, he rediscovered hope, rebuilt his faith, and finally surrendered the life that had been destroying him. Today, Tony continues attending meetings and is committed to helping others break free from addiction and find the same freedom he found through God. If you or someone you love is struggling, this testimony is a reminder that no one is too far gone for God to redeem. 🔔 Subscribe for more real stories of faith, recovery, and redemption.

My journey into addiction began as an attempt to cope with stress, pressure, and emotions I didn’t know how to handle. What started as escape slowly became dependency, leading me into substance abuse, destructive thinking, and deep isolation. On the outside, I looked like a successful teacher and coach. On the inside, I was falling apart. In 2019, I entered treatment, and that decision became the turning point. Sobriety became more than staying clean—it required accountability, humility, discipline, and a renewed relationship with God. Recovery forced me to confront pride, fear, and my need for control. Faith shifted from something I talked about to something I surrendered to. I learned to focus on what I could control, release what I couldn’t, and rebuild my life one choice at a time. Today, I’m sober and living intentionally through spiritual discipline, gratitude, service, and honest self-examination. I’m also preparing to release my book, From Rock Bottom to Redemption, a faith-based recovery story centered on responsibility, transformation, and the daily work of rebuilding a life—endorsed by Damon West.

Tim is now a highly sought after inspirational speaker sharing a word of hope for those battling mental health issues or addiction.
