In Matthew 27, we read about tombs opening and the dead coming to life after the death and resurrection of Jesus. However, Matthew is the only of the four Gospels to record this miraculous event. So, is it likely that this event never even happened? Aren’t all the Gospels supposed to be alike? Or could the Gospels serve a different purpose? Did this miracle in Matthew have a specific meaning?
