Episode 95: Reparenting from the roots week 29 - owning your own name

Twentynine weeks ago we planted something. We called it Reparenting from the Roots. Week after week we learned how to meet ourselves with honesty instead of judgment... compassion instead of criticism... and discernment instead of fear. We learned to stop rescuing. We learned to stop punishing ourselves. We learned to participate instead of control. We learned to trust. We learned to receive. We learned to celebrate becoming someone who would finally stay. Last week we stepped out of the roots and into the branches. This week... we begin living there. Nine days after my fifty-first birthday... I realized the greatest gift wasn't another celebration. It wasn't another identity. It wasn't another accomplishment. It was finally realizing... I already owned my own name
