Peter Gray is a research professor of psychology and neuroscience at Boston College. A Columbia-educated researcher with a PhD in biological sciences from Rockefeller University, he has published widely across developmental psychology, anthropology, and education, and authored a college introductory psychology textbook now in its eighth edition. He is the co-founder of Let Grow, the nonprofit he started with Lenore Skenazy and Jonathan Haidt to make childhood independence easy, normal, and legal, and the author of Free to Learn and the forthcoming Restoring Childhood: How to Set Kids Free in the Age of Anxiety.
