The Red Letters, Week 2: It’s Not Fair

Parables were a hallmark of Jesus’ teaching. By teaching in parables, Jesus could take a normal everyday circumstance and twist it just enough to make us think deeper, and even to offend us. In the parable of the laborers of the vineyard, Jesus offends our sense of fairness. He does this demonstrate that God’s grace is not fair.
