There's a growing wave of YouTube videos promising that AI can do the work for you: one prompt, walk away, come back to a finished result. In this episode, Anton Kraly explains why a lot of that content isn't telling you the whole story. The episode was sparked by professional video editor Vlad Sateev, whose recent videos break down popular "AI edits your video for you" tutorials. He points to on-screen timers that skip large chunks of time and results that were likely fixed by hand or through a lot of back-and-forth with AI. Anton had heard the same thing from his own team: these workflows don't perform the way the tutorials show.Anton also explains why these videos get so many views. Beginners can't tell what the work really involves, the algorithm rewards big claims, and many creators earn affiliate commissions when viewers sign up for the tools they promote. He connects this to the "free Shopify store" scam he covered a few weeks ago and shows how the same pattern is now appearing in AI-for-e-commerce content. In this episode:How edited AI demos hide the manual work behind the resultWhy affiliate links shape which AI tools get recommendedWhen AI costs you more time and money on credits than doing the task yourself (sometimes two minutes in your Shopify theme customizer)Where AI actually stands as of September 2026, and why Anton still uses it throughout his businessesThe DSL principle: biggest return for the smallest inputAnton is still a big believer in AI. What should you do when one brand in your store is generating an incredible return on ad spend… but another brand is the one you really want to sell?In this episode of the Drop Ship Lifestyle Podcast, Anton shares a lesson that came directly from a recent one-on-one coaching call with an AK Founder Circle member. The mistake? Taking advertising budget away from what is already working and trying to force something else to succeed simply because the potential upside looks bigger.Anton breaks down why he would allocate roughly 80% of the advertising budget toward proven winners while keeping the remaining 20% available for testing and optimization. You'll learn why you should scale what the market is already telling you works, how Google and Microsoft Shopping campaigns identify winning products, and why throwing more money at an unprofitable campaign usually isn't the answer.Anton also shares details about the new DSL Mastermind, including weekly calls, business hot seats, real-time updates on the strategies and AI workflows he's currently using, and an annual in-person meetup in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.If you're running paid traffic—or plan to in the future—this episode will help you make smarter decisions about where your advertising dollars should go.
People regularly offer me 20%, 30%, or even 50% equity in their business in exchange for free or discounted access to Drop Ship Lifestyle or one of my higher-level coaching programs.I always say no.In this episode of the Drop Ship Lifestyle Podcast, I explain why taking equity might actually be a great financial opportunity for me—but why I still believe it's a bad deal for both sides.I also share my own experience building an eight-figure eCommerce business with a 50/50 partner, how our relationship changed as the business grew, and what that experience taught me about partnerships, money, and resentment. You'll hear why I believe giving away equity can become the most expensive way you'll ever pay for coaching, why I'm cautious about business partnerships in general, and why my goal has always been for Drop Ship Lifestyle members to build businesses they own 100%.I don't want a piece of your business.I want to help you build a business worth owning.Free Training From Drop Ship Lifestyle: https://www.dropshiplifestyle.com/webinar
Want more traffic to your online store without a big advertising budget? In this video, I share five ways to attract potential customers - three short-term strategies to start conversations now and two long-term strategies to build traffic over time.If you have more time than money, these methods can help you work toward your first sales and generate revenue to reinvest in marketing.“Free” doesn’t mean effortless or completely cost-free. These strategies require time, advertising trials must be agreed to by the publisher, and affiliates earn commissions on qualifying sales. Always follow each platform’s listing and community rules. The goal isn’t just more visitors—it’s reaching people who are interested in buying what you sell.Which of these five methods will you try first? Are “free, done-for-you” Shopify stores actually a scam? In this episode, I break down how these offers work, why they’re suddenly appearing everywhere, and what you may really be signing up for.Although you may receive a store, that doesn’t mean you’re receiving a viable business. Many of these offers use affiliate commissions, recurring software subscriptions, generic storefronts, and the same “trending” dropshipping products supplied to thousands of other aspiring sellers.I explain:• How free Shopify store offers make money • The recurring expenses you may be committing to • Why everyone receives the same trending products • Why a generic store is unlikely to give you a competitive advantage • What to do instead if you’re serious about building an ecommerce business To be clear, this episode is not criticizing Shopify itself. I’ve been a Shopify partner for years and believe it’s an excellent platform when used properly. This is my opinion and analysis of third-party companies advertising free, done-for-you stores.Building a real ecommerce business takes research, work, and a strategy that gives customers a reason to buy from you. In this episode of the Drop Ship Lifestyle podcast, Anton explains why every Shopify store owner should be using Claude code to make advanced web design customizations, and eliminate the need for any expensive apps.
What would you do if a customer wanted to place a $50,000—or even $70,000—order through your high-ticket dropshipping store?Large bulk orders can be extremely profitable, but they can also require you to put tens of thousands of dollars at risk. In this video, I share a strategy I used early in my high-ticket dropshipping career to profit from massive B2B orders without processing the payment or funding the cost of goods myself. The process is simple: work with your supplier, refer the qualified customer directly to them, and negotiate a commission on the sale. We’ve seen referral commissions ranging from 10% to 40%, depending on the supplier and the order. You may earn less than if you processed the entire order yourself, but you can avoid the financial and logistical risks while building your business bankroll. Before moving forward with any large order, always verify that it’s legitimate. Everybody's asking about ChatGPT ads right now, so I ran the test again — real budget, real product feeds, real results — and in this episode I'm sharing exactly where things stand.Quick heads up before you listen: I recorded this on August 11, 2026, and this space is moving fast. Some of what I say here will probably be outdated soon. That's kind of the point.I walk through my first test back when ChatGPT ads launched (basically a search text ad, no product feed, and it felt like a black box — no sales, experiment over), and then what changed once they rolled out product feed uploads. I got my feed formatted, set up the pixel and conversion events manually, and put real spend behind it. So what do the numbers actually look like? Let's just say I'm not shifting budget over anytime soon. Here's what I get into:Why the data is still a black box — impressions, clicks, and conversions, but no idea where buyers came from, what they searched, or who they areThe technical reality of getting a product feed into ChatGPT (and why non-technical people should stay away for now)Why the cost per click runs $2–$3 when Google and Microsoft Shopping deliver quality traffic for lessWhat would actually make ChatGPT ads great — more data, and manual control to dial in resultsWho should ignore this completely, and the specific type of store owner who could test itIf you do test it: exactly how I'd do it — top 5–10 proven products only, a small budget, conversion tracking locked in firstWhy I'm genuinely rooting for AI shopping ads to get better This isn't me hating on AI search. The free agentic traffic built into Shopify is fantastic. This is about whether paid ChatGPT ads deserve your money today — and my honest answer, for most people, is not yet.Got value from this one? Leave a review on whatever player you're listening on, and I'll see you in the next episode. Not a member yet? Free training at dropshipwebinar.com.
