By The Grace Of The True Guru:ਕਿਸ ਹਉ ਜਾਚੀ ਕਿਸ ਆਰਾਧੀ ਜਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਸੀ ॥kis hau jaachee kis aaraadhee jaa sabh ko keetaa hosee ||ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ) ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਮੰਗਾਂ? ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਫਿਰਾਂ?Who should I ask? Who should I worship? All were created by Him.ਜੋ ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਵਡਾ ਵਡੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਸੋ ਖਾਕੂ ਰਲਸੀ ॥jo jo dheesai vaddaa vadderaa so so khaakoo ralasee ||ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡਾ ਜਾਂ ਧਨਾਢ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਨੇ (ਮਰ ਕੇ) ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਲ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ (ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ) ।Whoever appears to be the greatest of the great, shall ultimately be mixed with the dust.ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਭਵ ਖੰਡਨੁ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਦੇਸੀ ॥੧॥nirabhau nira(n)kaar bhav kha(n)ddan sabh sukh nav nidh dhesee ||1||ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੌ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਉਹ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੇ, ਜੋ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ।੧।The Fearless, Formless Lord, the Destroyer of Fear bestows all comforts, and the nine treasures. ||1||ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਤੀ ਰਾਜਾ ॥har jeeau teree dhaatee raajaa ||ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ (ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ) ਦਾਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਹੀ) ਰੱਜ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ,O Dear Lord, Your gifts alone satisfy me.ਮਾਣਸੁ ਬਪੁੜਾ ਕਿਆ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਕਿਆ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਮੁਹਤਾਜਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥maanas bapuRaa kiaa saalaahee kiaa tis kaa muhataajaa || rahaau ||ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਫਿਰਾਂ? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੋਵੇ? ।ਰਹਾਉ।Why should I praise the poor helpless man? Why should I feel subservient to him? ||Pause||ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਭੂਖ ਗਵਾਈ ॥jin har dhiaaiaa sabh kichh tis kaa tis kee bhookh gavaiee ||ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਭੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।All things come to one who meditates on the Lord; the Lord satisfies his hunger.ਐਸਾ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੈ ਨਿਖੁਟਿ ਨ ਕਬ ਹੀ ਜਾਈ ॥aaisaa dhan dheeaa sukhadhaatai nikhuT na kab hee jaiee ||ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜੇਹਾ (ਨਾਮ-) ਧਨ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ।The Lord, the Giver of peace, bestows such wealth, that it can never be exhausted.ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੨॥anadh bhiaa sukh sahaj samaane satigur mel milaiee ||2||ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਜਦੋਂ) ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਆ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।I am in ecstasy, absorbed in celestial peace; the True Guru has united me in His Union. ||2||ਮਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥man naam jap naam aaraadh anadhin naam vakhaanee ||(ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ, ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਕਰ ।O mind, chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord; worship the Naam, night and day, and recite the Naam.ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਾ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ਜਮਾਣੀ ॥aupadhes sun saadh sa(n)tan kaa sabh chookee kaan jamaanee ||ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਜਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।Listen to the Teachings of the Holy Saints, and all fear of death will be dispelled.ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੇ ਲਾਗੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੩॥jin kau kirapaal hoaa prabh meraa se laage gur kee baanee ||3||Those blessed by God's Grace are attached to the Word of the Guru's Bani. ||3||ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣੁ ਕਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਤੂ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥keemat kaun karai prabh teree too sarab jeeaa dhiaalaa ||Who can estimate Your worth, God? You are kind and compassionate to all beings.ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਰਤੈ ਕਿਆ ਹਮ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲਾ ॥sabh kichh keetaa teraa varatai kiaa ham baal gupaalaa ||Everything which You do, prevails; I am just a poor child - what can I do?ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਨੁ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਜਿਉ ਪਿਤਾ ਪੂਤ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੧॥raakh leh naanak jan tumaraa jiau pitaa poot kirapaalaa ||4||1||Protect and preserve Your servant Nanak; be kind to him, like a father to his son. ||4||1||Guru Arjan Dev Ji in Raag Sorath - 608
