20 years of Outlive with Mike Kinlin of Guns Up!
In today’s episode, I’m joined by my friend Ben Macro of Dead Swans. Based in Brighton, UK, Dead Swans was active from 2006 to 2022. Ben reflects on his time in the band and shares his story. These days, Ben is putting his creativity into tattooing at Devotion Tattoo in Bristol. If you’re looking to get some new ink, reach out and book your appointment today!
In today’s episode, I sit down with my good friend Sean Lamb of Downpresser. Active since 2006, Downpresser has built a reputation in the hardcore scene, with their latest LP, The Long Goodbye, released in December 2019. Sean takes us through the band’s history and discusses the possibility of new Downpresser music.
It was an honor to finally sit down with Jake Henderson of the hardcore band Bitter End. Jake has been playing guitar with Bitter End since the band formed in 2005, making him a longtime part of the band’s history. Originally based in San Antonio, Texas, Bitter End released multiple EPs and LPs between 2005 and 2015. Their most recent full-length, Illusions of Dominance, recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary. Jake and I sat down to revisit the record, discuss its creation, and talk about how these songs came together. We also discuss the track “Conversations With Death,” which was featured in the 2021 video game The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes. This was easily one of the most fun conversations I’ve had since starting this podcast. Jake had some great stories and insight into Bitter End’s history, and I’m excited for you all to hear this one. Please be sure to support the Bitter End spinoff bands, Demonize and Shogun!
In today’s episode, I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with my friend George Noble of Your Demise 2004. Hailing from St Albans, England, YD04 released multiple demos, EPs, and LPs between 2003 and 2009, leaving behind an incredible legacy that still means so much to UKHC. This was truly a dream interview for me. If you want to talk about someone who genuinely cares about his fans and the people who support his music, George is that guy. We could’ve talked about the paranormal all day, and I’m sure we’ll set up a part 2 ghost stories special! Huge thank you again to George for taking the time to hang out and share so many great stories. And an extra-big thank you for the awesome shirts, brother! More YD04 shows coming soon!
In this very special episode of the Creature Tomb Podcast, I had the opportunity to sit down with Oscar McCall of 50 Lions. Hailing from Byron Bay, Australia, 50 Lions are no strangers to the hardcore scene. In this episode, we dive into the history of 50 Lions, their journey as a band, and their latest LP, New Reality. Eight crushing tracks with a vocal feature by Graham Sayle (Dirty Money, High-Vis)
In today’s episode, I had the opportunity to sit down with my good friend Chris Myler of By My Hands. By My Hands is a hardcore band from Glasgow, Scotland, who have been active since 2003. Over the years, they’ve released several EPs and their full-length record, Growing Older, Getting Colder. In this episode, Chris and I dive into the band’s history, their journey through the hardcore scene, and the stories and experiences that have shaped By My Hands over the years. It was a great conversation with an even better friend, and I’m excited for you to hear it! Hosted By: Dom Artwork: Curseofface Original Soundtrack: Guy Smith (Your Demise 2004, Pay No Respect)
In today's episode, I had the opportunity to sit down with Nick Rix of Brutality Will Prevail. Special thanks to Luke Lancaster, Jay Bella Smith, Tim Vincent, and Rise Above Cancer. This first episode is dedicated to my girlfriend, Britnay. Thank you for always believing in my dreams.
