This time I had a pleasure to interview Dean Jolly - a former funeral director, self-published poet, author and occasional events organiser. Dean was born in North Shields where he still resides with his family. He has self-published several poetry pamphlets, a full collection, and more recently a novelette titled Nirvana: A Tale of Poets & The Beautifully Mad. This book is an experimental attempt at showcasing his original poetry in a new and unique way by embedding them into an overarching framing narrative. Despite the sombre nature of his professional background, Dean's writing ultimately celebrates life in all its complexity. He strives to encourage readers to embrace life and find beauty in fleeting moments. Through his evocative poetry and prose, he hopes to touch the hearts and minds of readers, leaving an indelible mark on the literary world.
