Yep, Kit becomes the latest character to have dramatic sound effects playing in the background as he’s handed a life-threatening diagnosis this week - although, to be fair to him, at least he doesn’t spend too long wallowing in it. Perhaps that’s because he’s also got a concurrent storyline involving a night between the sheets with a mystery woman, who turns out to be the person pretty much everyone was expecting: Bethany Platt! And speaking of ladies of mystery, Jodie actually won us over this week, camping it up good and proper as she toys with Bethany following a classic soap conveniently-overheard conversation. On top of all that, we’ve got Debbie’s bittersweet birthday party, a fashion course opportunity for Betsy and yet more Metcalfe mayhem - plus the long-awaited return of Shona’s dad!
