On April 27, a protest outside a fast food restaurant in east Colorado Springs turned hostile, leading to three arrests for trespassing and interfering with police; the individuals were cited and released. Tejon Street; 18-year-old Elijah Benjamin Valdez was arrested Friday on charges of second-degree assault, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, menacing, and violation of a protection order; he was already in Pueblo County Jail on an attempted murder case.
