9/6/26, Isaac and the Oath: Part 1

In Genesis 26, Isaac lies to protect what he loves most, misplacing his faith by putting it in himself and his own works. This comes just after God swore an oath, continuing the promises made to Abraham to Isaac. God's oath holds the man who cannot keep it, so rest, not on how perfectly you trust the oath, but how perfectly God keeps it.
