The King Isn’t Done — God Isn’t Out of Moves Yet | Acts 12:1–11

What do you do when the situation looks impossible and you feel completely helpless?In Acts 12, Peter sits chained between soldiers, awaiting what appears to be certain death. James has already been killed, Herod seems to have won, and there is nothing Peter can do to change his circumstances. Yet Peter sleeps in peace, the church prays earnestly, and God does what only God can do. The chains fall, the doors open, and Peter walks free. But this story also raises a difficult question: Why was Peter delivered while James was martyred? Faith doesn’t mean God always gives us the outcome we want. It means we remain faithful and trust His sovereignty even when we don’t understand His decisions. This message challenges us not to lose heart when our backs are against the wall. Pray. Invite others to pray with you. Trust God with what you cannot control. Because no matter how impossible the circumstances appear, God isn’t out of moves.
