The Good Life: Words to Live By - The First Commandment: You shall have no other gods.

What is this? We are to fear, love, and trust God above all things. Praying the First Commandment God, we rely and depend on so much that is not you. We trust ourselves and what we can do and we go to other things for security and support before we rely on you. Please forgive us. Help us to respect, love and trust you above all else in this life. Help us to love you with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength, so that we may follow you more fully and love our neighbors as ourselves. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
