2.17 The First Century Council That Shook the World (actually: the gospel confirmed in it)

The Council of Believers found in Acts 15 confirmed a united biblical message - the gospel - in a Christ-centered context that was to shake the world. The gospel truths confirmed here did in fact turn the world upside down. They brought on persecution from both the Jewish and pagan world - because of how they turned both economies upside down. But, this effort to reach biblical unity confirmed the truths prophesied by the Law and the Prophets and by Jesus. Early church leaders sought biblical unity based on truth (John 14:6; 17). Will we seek to return to the truths of the Bible today, as proclaimed by the apostles and scripture? This message dives into these questions.
