Chasing records in London and medals in Glasgow

July is a big month for athletics in the UK, with two major events on the horizon. Firstly, the Diamond League is headed for London and is promising to live up to the hype. A number of the world’s biggest names will be competing at the Olympic Stadium and Josh Kerr will be going for the long-standing mile world record, while fireworks are also expected in both the women’s and men’s 800m races. Just a few days later, the athletics action will get under way at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
