Foreign objects can disrupt the brain CPAP masks or bulky oral appliances can trigger the brain to perceive a threat, leading to disrupted sleep transitions and poor sleep quality. 5. REM sleep is essential—and often missed Patients frequently miss REM sleep due to fragmentation, leading to fatigue, poor recovery, and long-term health risks. 6.
