Interview with Paddy Bushe

Today’s show has a feature artist interview with poet Paddy Bushe who is one of the six contributing artists to Edition VII of Tintreach: The Smashing Times Arts and Literary Journal. Paddy Bushe was born in Dublin, and has lived in Iveragh for more than 50 years. Paddy is a member of Aosdána and has published 15 collections of poetry in both English and Irish. His prose work The Amergin Step is a personal exploration of the imagination and landscape of Iveragh. Edition VII of Tintreach: The Smashing Times Arts and Literary Journal was published on Saturday, 18 July 2026, as part of Smashing Times’ inaugural Kerry Arts and Human Rights Festival. This is a very special bilingual edition, themed ‘Muintearas: Macallaí Uíbh Ráthaigh / Belonging: Echoes of Iveragh’.
