Today on America in the MorningUS Soldiers Killed During Iran Attacks The U.S. military and Iran traded missile and drone strikes for a 9th straight night, with three U.S. service members killed and a fourth missing in the attacks, and concerns mounting of an all-out conflict.  John Stolnis has more from Washington.   Sanctions Against Canadian Wildfires While there was some relief for places like New York City and Washington, DC from unhealthy air due to the smoke from Canadian wildfires on Sunday, Washington State is now preparing for the combination of hotter weather and a smoky wildfire haze.  Lisa Dwyer reports that Canada is bristling at criticism from President Trump over their wildfire management, and Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno, speaking on Fox News, says he will introduce a bill to sanction Canada for the poor air quality.   Maine’s Democrat Senate Candidate Former Maine Senate President Troy Jackson appears to be the frontrunner for Democrats in the race to unseat Republican Senator Susan Collins in the midterms.  Correspondent Clayton Neville reports.   Tate Brothers Arrested Social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested in Miami and are being held on charges including rape.  Correspondent Julie Walker reports the brothers are also facing extradition to the UK where they also face rape charges.  Arizona Mass Shooting Gunfire erupted on the streets of Tucson, Arizona early Sunday morning.  Nine victims, all adults, were taken to area hospitals in critical condition with gunshot wounds to their extremities.   Vice President’s Baby Boy Second Lady Usha Vance gave birth Sunday to her fourth child.  Vice President JD Vance made the announcement on X, saying in a statement - We are excited to announce our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance.    Reaction To Weekend Fighting The U-S attacked Iran over the weekend after Iranian attacks reportedly killed at least two U-S service members in Jordan and another in Iraq.  Correspondent Clayton Neville reports new waves of strikes by the US against Iran and Iranian attacks against US positions and nations in the region are fueling fears of the war escalating.   Wildfire Health Risks Health experts say the biggest concerns from Canadian wildfires is something that’s much harder to see.  Correspondent Donna Warder reports risks to people include both short term and long term health problems.   Mamdani’s Threat New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has called Benjamin Netanyahu a “war criminal,” and openly spoke about arresting the Israeli Prime Minister if he comes to New York City.  Katie Clark reports that questions remain as to if Mamdani has the legal authority to act, while the Trump administration has already rebuked the idea.   Gulf Of America Threat There’s a new concern along the Gulf Coast as a tropical depression has formed west of Tampa Bay.  FBI Out On DHS Investigations The FBI will no longer participate in investigations into cases involving alleged assaults on immigration agents.    Sports – Robert Workman   World Cup Finals & more.      Learn more about your ad choices.
