Canada Reaches Out to EU

Canada and the European Union announced the start of a new relationship, setting Ottawa on the path to become the EU's first "associate member." The unprecedented transatlantic move comes after the United States has targeted its neighbor and old ally, imposing big tariffs and threatening to make it a 51st state.
