Anthony Albanese has launched Australia's campaign for a two-year seat on the United Nations Security Council in 2029 and 2030.The Prime Minister named artificial intelligence and climate change among the issues Australia wants a voice in shaping, and said the campaign would be modest in cost.Only Australia and Finland have nominated for the two available seats, with a secret ballot in mid-2028.So what does a seat actually get you, when five permanent members hold a veto?
