We’re joined by Ed Bracher, Chief Executive of Dogs For Good, discussing why the Charity helps people overcome isolation, build confidence, and live more independent lives.New figures from Dogs for Good’s Creating Possibilities Impact Report revealed that among people surveyed after accessing its services, 93% felt more confident leaving the house, 89% became more independent when getting out and about and 92% reported an improvement in their mood. The impact can extend beyond the individual. The charity’s research suggests that for every one person directly supported, a further six people benefit through wider family and community relationships, highlighting how dogs can create opportunities for greater social interaction and connection. In celebrating National Dog Day this week, Dogs for Good is encouraging people to look beyond dogs simply as pets and recognise the wider role the human-dog bond can play in helping people overcome barriers, maintain independence and stay connected to the world around them.Find out more at their website dogsforgood.org or follow on InstagramFor more about Zooomy and Naturaw, including A Dog's Life discounts you can use, go to the 'Anna Recommends' page at annawebb.co.ukMusic and production by Mike Hanson for Pod People ProductionsCover art by JaijoCover photo by Rhian Ap Gruffydd at Gruff Pawtraits
