NB, intro recorded prior to Christian Fuchs' departure - see Ep280 for our snap reaction to that news...Another short bonus episode for you, ahead of County's first pre-season game on Saturday at Bristol Manor Farm - and one that features a time capsule from a year ago, when we asked four listeners to send us a voicenote predicting how County would fare in 2024/25 based on the friendlies they'd just watched. Listen and learn what they got right and wrong. #277: The big interHuw
As players, coaches and fans take a well-earned breather, we sat down for a lengthy chat with County chairman Huw Jenkins to look back at a rollercoaster season and to ask how the club might steer itself into calmer waters. Mr Jenkins gave an open and honest assessment of what went wrong last year, but also in explaining what lessons have been learned from it, and why fans should keep the faith. We also touch on whether any future investment might be forthcoming, club communications, and the relationship with the Dragons and Newport Council.We'd like to put on record our thanks to Mr Jenkins for speaking with us.
